On Monday, 20th of January, 2020 we hosted the environmental activist and world-famous critic of globalization, Dr. Vandana Shiva, at the Andechser Dairy Scheitz as part of a several-day trip she had made to Germany. The event in the marquee erected on the dairy premises had attracted wide interest and, with around 900 visitors, it was sold out. In her speech Dr. Shiva powerfully presented the correlation between industrial farming – with the use of genetically modified, patented seeds and chemical fertilizers – and the disastrous effects of those on humankind and nature.
